Position Overview
This role supports the Director of Total Rewards – International, assisting in delivering comprehensive reward services for Insulet’s international operations, particularly at the Malaysia manufacturing site and related functions in Johor Bahru.
The position offers opportunities to collaborate with experienced Reward and HR professionals, support daily reward activities, and document processes. It involves training HR team members in Reward procedures. This is a fixed-term position for six months.
Reward Operations
Assist in managing daily Total Rewards activities, resolving benefits and compensation inquiries, such as medical benefit claims, SOCSO claims, and employee benefit questions.
Support the HR team in resolving compensation, benefit, and policy issues and disputes.
Handle benefits administration tasks like new hire enrollments and terminations.
Guide new hires and managers through onboarding, explaining compensation and benefits.
Assist in managing relationships with benefit brokers and vendors, including processing Purchase Orders and invoices.
Support compliance, employee communication, and data collection activities under the guidance of the Manager, Total Rewards.
Compensation, Benefits, and Leave Data in Workday
Work closely with HR Ops and HRIS to ensure accurate and up-to-date compensation and benefit data in Workday, conducting regular audits and resolving discrepancies.
Maintain employee records and update HR databases, including beneficiary and dependent information.
Support the administration of expatriates and business travelers, including immigration and visa processes, relocation, and split salary management, under guidance.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.
Experience supporting Malaysian compensation and benefits programs.
Service-oriented with a strong process and policy mindset, capable of creating job aids and documentation.
At least 2 years of HR experience in a public company environment, with exposure to salary management, incentives, benefits, and HR policies.
Resourceful, adaptable, and able to build relationships quickly, with proficiency in Workday or similar HRIS platforms, and query tools like ServiceNow.
Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience in manufacturing or operations, supporting blue-collar employees.
Strong communication skills to explain Reward concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to resolve routine reward issues independently and collaborate on complex matters.
International compensation and benefits experience is a plus but not essential.
Knowledge of employment law, payroll, and HR certifications is desirable. Familiarity with benchmarking tools like Aon-Radford, Mercer, and Willis Towers Watson is advantageous.
Experience in a Service Centre environment is a plus.
