Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assist the Supervisor in ensuring smooth operations for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Prepare shipping documents for NVOCC and shipping requirements to the US and other regions.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support across the functional area.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the activities of the Ocean team, enhance customer relationships, and meet organizational goals.
- Map and understand department process flows; identify areas for efficiency improvements to offer better cycle times, service, and cost control.
- Plan, organize, lead, communicate, and control the operations team to carry out daily tasks.
- Handle daily administrative work and liaise with other departments.
- Report irregularities to superiors promptly.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or higher in Logistics, Transportation, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in ocean freight operations.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and local language; a pleasant and courteous personality.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and highly driven.
