To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Financial Analyst located in Batu Kawan, Penang.

In charge of preparing and researching financial reports to support business needs, ensuring charges and headcount are allocated to the correct business units and that reporting is accurate and timely.

What a typical day looks like:

1. Assist in the timely preparation and review of consolidated financial statements.
2. Perform monthly end closing activities including preparing GL entries, accruals, prepayments, deferred items, and reclassifications.
3. Aggregate and prepare actual and forecast financial data, comparing current forecasts against prior ones.
4. Develop detailed commentary on changes in forecasts and deviations from financial targets.
5. Assist in quarterly reviews and year-end audit activities.
6. Advise reporting entities on corporate accounting policies, U.S. GAAP, and balance sheet reconciliations.
7. Liaise with corporate tax, treasury, and other financial departments, as well as regional and local finance managers, to develop internal working relationships.
8. Generate financial reports for review by the business team.
9. Conduct cost investigations as required.
10. Make recommendations to management regarding cost savings, profit opportunities, and profitability improvements.
11. Ensure SOX compliance according to Flex policies and procedures for financial reporting.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• B. Com / B.C.S / M. Com / MBA / BBA / BBM or other finance and accounting degrees.
• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in a finance role.
• Related professional certifications preferred: CPA, CFP, CMA, CA, CGA, or APICS.
