To ensure projects are executed according to the time schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with main contractors, sub-contractors, architects, consultants, professional engineers, suppliers, and government authorities to ensure the timely completion of projects.
- Solve problems to facilitate smooth operation and delivery of projects.
- Work independently under pressure.
- Familiar with project costing and capable of preparing project feasibility studies.
- Monitor and control construction progress and quality of works.
- Liaise with Safety Officers, authorities, and engineers on site-related issues.
- Formulate, monitor, and audit quality plans and construction drawings.
- Prepare and submit weekly reports on construction issues to the Project Manager.
- Report regularly on project progress and issues, especially regarding defective, outstanding, non-conforming, or delayed works.
- Report non-conforming matters during inspections and coordinate with consultants on corrective actions.
- Gather data for analysis, including work productivity and critical activities, to assess extensions of time.
- Supervise site activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Check, monitor, inspect, and perform quality control on ongoing and completed works.
- Coordinate and supervise defect rectification during the Defect Liability Period.
- Maintain records of work progress, including labor, machinery, and weather conditions.
- Conduct final inspections and handovers upon project completion.
- Participate in site meetings and inspections.
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling project stages.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field.
- At least 3 years of consultancy experience in civil engineering.
- Over 3 years of project management experience.
- Familiarity with local authority submission requirements and planning guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus.
- Good attitude, problem-solving skills, and a pleasant personality.
- Ability to handle multiple demands, organize effectively, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
