Job description

To ensure projects are executed according to the time schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
  2. Coordinate with main contractors, sub-contractors, architects, consultants, professional engineers, suppliers, and government authorities to ensure the timely completion of projects.
  3. Solve problems to facilitate smooth operation and delivery of projects.
  4. Work independently under pressure.
  5. Familiar with project costing and capable of preparing project feasibility studies.
  6. Monitor and control construction progress and quality of works.
  7. Liaise with Safety Officers, authorities, and engineers on site-related issues.
  8. Formulate, monitor, and audit quality plans and construction drawings.
  9. Prepare and submit weekly reports on construction issues to the Project Manager.
  10. Report regularly on project progress and issues, especially regarding defective, outstanding, non-conforming, or delayed works.
  11. Report non-conforming matters during inspections and coordinate with consultants on corrective actions.
  12. Gather data for analysis, including work productivity and critical activities, to assess extensions of time.
  13. Supervise site activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  14. Check, monitor, inspect, and perform quality control on ongoing and completed works.
  15. Coordinate and supervise defect rectification during the Defect Liability Period.
  16. Maintain records of work progress, including labor, machinery, and weather conditions.
  17. Conduct final inspections and handovers upon project completion.
  18. Participate in site meetings and inspections.
  19. Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling project stages.
Job Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field.
  2. At least 3 years of consultancy experience in civil engineering.
  3. Over 3 years of project management experience.
  4. Familiarity with local authority submission requirements and planning guidelines.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus.
  6. Good attitude, problem-solving skills, and a pleasant personality.
  7. Ability to handle multiple demands, organize effectively, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
