Education/Work Experience/Skills/Abilities:

• University / college studies in Electrical engineering.
• Experience in diesel genset commissioning (land based), min. 3 years.
• Hands on experience on regional site installation, site supervision and commissioning of diesel genset.
• Demonstrates good understanding of diesel genset electrical and mechanical systems related to an enclosure design.
• Knowledge of genset controller, switchgear and electrical power protection would be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of Asian cultures and business practices.
• Good team player with proactiveness, good communication skills and positive attitude.
• Proficient in English and Malay language, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel. Mainly in APAC.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• General
• Responsible for genset commissioning of the diesel genset enclosure solutions delivered for Malaysia projects. This includes both FWT/FAT and SAT.
• Troubleshoot to resolve all issues that arise from the FWT/FAT and SAT.
• Be at the genset enclosure factory to work with the team to understand the system integration into the final genset enclosure as per customer requirements.
• Be on site to work with the team to support the system integration and installation of our genset enclosure and related systems to the plant.
• Work closely with the regional and global team on customer relationship management for the key accounts.

• Order Execution
• Execute the genset commissioning in accordance with the approved FWT/FAT and SAT test scripts.
• Check the genset is prepared and ready for commissioning.
• Work with the project manager (PM), execution engineer (EE) and the enclosure integrator to commission the genset at the FWT/FAT.
• Ensure compliance to the Global Procedure on genset commissioning for our projects.
• Support the execution engineer on performing root cause analysis to major issue encountered during execution, especially if the issue is related to the commissioning of the genset.
• Support the Project Manager to value add to the lessons learnt materials.

• Working with internal stakeholders and suppliers
• Be responsible to the PM and EE on the commissioning of the orders.
• Take part in genset enclosure FAT to understand the deliverables to site.
• Align with APAC hub to value add on the best practice in technical execution to improve our customer experience.

• Other Matters

- Travels overseas on business, when required.

• Updates oneself with the technical developments of the market and internal products.
• Special assignment from time to time.
