Position Description

Vantage is looking for a hands-on, resourceful and detail-oriented Finance Manager to drive day-to-day accounting activities, the preparation of financial statements and reports, and internal control systems, to participate in treasury operations, budgeting and M&A initiatives, and to oversee the financial, legal and tax administration of Vantage APAC’s portfolio of companies. The Finance Manager will also assist with financial audits, participate in system improvement initiatives and coach and develop the accounting team. The Finance Manager must be able to work independently and with the highest level of integrity. The ideal candidate will also be well-organized, used to work in a fast-paced and complex environment, and demonstrate solid management skills.

Essential Job Functions

  • Leads and coaches a team of accountants responsible for day-to-day accounting, including general ledger integrity and accuracy, and bank and G/L account reconciliations
  • Responsible for the execution of month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including financial reporting and audits
  • Responsible for the execution of month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including financial & statutory reporting, loan covenants reporting and audits
  • Preparation and management of group consolidation reporting
  • Work with Tax and Legal to ensure compliance of Vantage APAC’s companies in respective local jurisdictions

Duties

  • Manage various accounting functions for efficient processing and accurate financial reporting, including, but not limited to:
    • Deliver consolidated financial reports and management accounts according to timeframes as decided by the Company
    • Financial reporting in accordance with relevant local and international accounting standards
    • Liaise with external advisors/auditors for audits, tax filings, registration, and other corporate matters
    • Account reconciliations and analysis
  • Implement best practices to manage Company’s financial and business risks, including, but not limited to:
    • Develop, review and maintain Company’s accounting/financial policies and processes, to ensure consistency and compliance with statutory requirements and Company standards
    • Coordinate with other departments to develop and maintain financial operations workflows
  • Stay up to date on applicable regulations and policies relating to the ownership/investment structure, financials and tax aspects of the Company
  • Business partnering with other cross functional teams to identify drivers of financial performance and support business growth
  • Evaluate financial reporting systems and recommend, lead proposed improvement changes in processes
  • Participates in special projects including M&A and financing
  • Advise senior management on any critical trends in relation to the financial performance of the company
  • Reviews and approves accounting documents per the company’s workflows
  • Promote a strong culture of cooperation within the team
  • Train, oversee, coach, develop, provide assistance to and evaluate the performance of team members

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and chartered accountant designation, high performing professional with Big 4 audit firms
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role within a large, complex organization
  • Knowledge of general APAC tax and experience in multi-currency and multiple company environments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many simultaneous priorities from time to time
  • Demonstrated communication, leadership and organizational skills
  • Facility to “roll up one’s sleeves” and collaborate with process participants in solving issues
  • Skilled at using various ERP and with technology in general
  • Knowledge of Yardi Voyager, preferred but not required
  • Data center, real estate, or construction industry experience, preferred but not required
