Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Finance Executive to join our dynamic team in Malaysia.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting end-to-end financial close processes, including general ledger management, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, asset transactions, compliance, and audit support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

What you will be doing:

Support the general ledger closing process and period-end activities in accordance with established timelines

Prepare and process journal entries, allocations, and management adjustments accurately and on time.

Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including advance and other related accounts.

Reconcile balances and support period-end processes for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial records.

Assist in recording, reconciling, and analyzing intercompany transactions, including payments, cash applications, and eliminations.

Manage asset capitalization, disposals, and transfers in compliance with internal policies.

Ensure accurate recording of all asset transactions, including additions, depreciation, retirements, and sales.

Conduct reconciliation and analysis of fixed asset postings to balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.

Ensure compliance with intercompany accounting standards during period-end close activities.

Adhere to accounting standards and internal control policies to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Provide support for external audits by preparing required documentation and reconciliations.

Assist in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate banking records.

Support payment processing, tracking, and resolution of errors or exceptions.

What you should have:

Over 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong foundation in financial operations and reporting.

University degree required with a preference in Finance or Accounting

Actively pursuing a professional designation in accounting (CPA, CA or equivalent preferred)

Prior experience in audit is an advantage

Proficient in ERP systems and online banking platforms.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) with advanced expertise in MS Excel (formulas and pivot tables)

Solid technical accounting knowledge with a strong grasp of financial principles and standards.

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Analytical mindset with good problem-solving ability
