Qualifications

Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the smooth operations of the unit within the limit of the unit budget.
  2. Assist in the planning of the budget and staffing requirements.
  3. Assist in tracking fixed asset utilization rates, inventory/holding costs, and operational expenses to achieve budgeted profitability.
Render Professional Diagnostic Radiology and other Nuclear Medicine Services
  1. Ensure availability of radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine activities.
  2. Perform daily checks to ensure the accuracy of radioactivity measurements by the dose calibrator.
  3. Ensure proper radiopharmaceutical administration in form, dosage, and route (orally, intravenously, or inhalation).
  4. Perform daily routine quality control testing on gamma camera and PET/CT to ensure optimal functioning before imaging procedures.
  5. Ensure proper handling and maintenance of gamma camera and PET/CT.
  6. Perform organ imaging with established protocols on:

i. Cardiovascular, skeletal, urinary, endocrine, gastrointestinal, central nervous, and pulmonary systems.

ii. Tumor and infection.

iii. Perform organ-specific processing, analyze collected data, and prepare images and results for interpretation and reporting by the Nuclear Medicine Physician.

  1. Perform oncology CT simulation according to policies and procedures.
  2. Assist Nuclear Medicine Physician, Radiologist, Cardiologist, and specialists in special procedures.
  3. Assist Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiographer in procedures.
  4. Carry out post-processing of images as instructed.
  5. Ensure patient identification and document checks before procedures.
  6. Follow radiation protection practices.
  7. Assist in daily operations and coordinate activities with other departments for efficient service delivery.
Job Requirements
  • Possess recognized diploma or university degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic, therapy, and oncology procedures professionally.
  • Minimum three (3) years of hospital experience with advanced imaging and Nuclear Medicine technology and facilities.
