Job summary

A premier marine services firm in Malaysia is seeking a Marine Captain / Marine Advisor with over 20 years of marine experience and extensive knowledge in rig inspections. Candidates must be Malaysian citizens with relevant certifications and experience in offshore operations. Proficiency in both Bahasa Malaysia and English is essential. This role is critical for ensuring the safety and efficiency of marine operations.

Qualifications

• Malaysia citizen.
• 20+ years of marine experience.
• 10+ years in oil and gas organization.
• Valid AME medical, BOSIET, LPS and UDAT certifications.
• Experience in offshore oil & gas shore base management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform rig inspection for marine related equipment.
• Inspect drilling support vessels such as AHTS, SSV, PSV, etc.
• Lead drilling marine spread offshore.

Marine Captain / Marine Advisor

Requirements:

1. Malaysia citizen
2. 20+ years of marine experience
3. 10+ years experience in the oil and gas organization
4. Extensive experience in performing rig inspection for marine related equipment
5. Experience in performing inspections for drilling support vessels such as Anchor Handling Tug and Supply (AHTS), Straight Supply Vessel (SSV), Production Supply Vessel (PSV), Geo-Technical vessel, Geo-physical vessel, Well Intervention Vessel, etc.
6. Strong culture of ‘Nobody Gets Hurt’
7. Experience in leading drilling marine spread offshore
8. Possess valid AME medical, BOSIET, LPS and UDAT
9. Preferably with 3 years experience in offshore oil & gas shore base management team
10. Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English, adequate computing skills to write and prepare reports/procedures
