Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will develop and maintain an effective sales strategy within the specified market scope (global/regional) to improve ABB's market penetration and growth. You will define, plan, lead, and execute sales strategies to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems, and/or services, ensuring sustainable growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will lead, develop, and coach the sales team to high performance. The role is hybrid, based at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solution Business.


You will be responsible for:

  1. Driving order intake and business line performance, with accountability for YOY revenue growth and expansion across segments.
  2. Developing and executing strategic sales plans, including customer management and pipeline development aligned with company growth.
  3. Leading and coaching a high-performing sales team, fostering talent and continuous improvement.
  4. Championing ABB's value proposition through solution-based selling and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  5. Identifying new business opportunities, including partnerships and ecosystem collaborations.
  6. Engaging with external stakeholders to influence market direction.
  7. Promoting sustainable sales growth through structured processes, digital tools, and long-term planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales or channel management, including leadership and strategic customer engagement in electrical distribution or related fields.
  • Proven sales leadership with a track record of exceeding targets in electrical distribution or MV switchgear sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of MV switchgear solutions is a strong asset.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, negotiation skills, digital fluency, and passion for innovation.
  • Effective communicator and influencer across organizational levels and multicultural environments.
  • People-centric leadership with a focus on team development and high-performance culture.
