Job description

To lead and manage the engineering team in developing and optimizing processes, ensuring technical excellence in design, fabrication, and machining, while meeting customer requirements and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:
- Oversee the engineering department, including costing review , design review, process engineering, and technical support.
- Lead and mentor the team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

2. Project Oversight:
- Plan and manage engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.

3. Process and Product Development:
- Guide product development processes, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with specifications.
- Optimize workflows for sheet metal fabrication and machining to improve productivity.

4. Continuous Improvement:
- Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Drive quality improvements through innovative engineering practices.

5. Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, including ISO 9001 and other relevant certifications.
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations within the department.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

• Experience: 8+ years in engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the sheet metal or machining industry.

• Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and GD&T.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- In-depth understanding of precision machining and fabrication techniques.
