Job description

· Assist in the timely completion of the Company and Group Monthly and Annual Financial Statements, tax returns, Audited Financial Statements, and Management Accounts.

· Support the oversight of finance and accounting activities, including payment processing, accounting treatments, and month-end accounting entries. Assist in the preparation of tax computations and tax returns, including supporting worksheets.

· Act as a point of contact and liaise with external parties such as the Company's auditors, tax agents, tax authorities, suppliers, and financial institutions, under the guidance of the Finance Manager.

· Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures in compliance with relevant standards.

· Provide guidance and support to operation team members to contribute to the achievement of organizational KPIs.

· Participate in system implementation projects as assigned.

· Undertake ad-hoc functions, assignments, and related duties as directed by management.

· Assist in the analysis of financial data and provide insightful reports.

· Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

· Assist in identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.

· Proficient in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with relevant accounting standards (e.g., MFRS, IFRS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to plantation sites as required.
