Job Responsibilities:

As an Accountant, you will oversee the financial operations of multiple business entities. Your responsibilities include:

  • Preparing full sets of accounts, monthly management reports, financial statements, and reconciliations accurately and on time.
  • Assisting in budget preparation, forecasting, cash flow planning, and treasury matters across business units.
  • Ensuring timely submission of tax returns (including WT and SST) in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Reviewing insurance coverage to align with the risks of each business segment.
  • Handling operational accounting issues, discrepancies, and abnormal transactions.
  • Liaising with auditors, authorities, and bankers on finance-related matters.
  • Implementing and improving internal controls, including inventory management, and enhancing financial reporting processes.
  • Maintaining proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
  • Leading and guiding a team of account officers and executives.
  • Supporting other assignments or ad-hoc tasks as required by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or Professional Qualification in ACCA or equivalent.
  • A member of accountancy professional bodies (i.e. ACA, ACCA, CPA, MIA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Preferably a minimum of 5 - 7 years working experience in the relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in auditing or taxation with a reputable organisation or a reputable audit firm.
  • Experience to work in retail or microfinance industry is an added advantage.
  • Have experience with MFRS or MPERS reporting framework and be familiar with reconciliation and other analysis reporting tools; Knowledge in consolidation accounting is an added advantage.
  • Possess strong financial analysis and presentation skills, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Be proficient in MS Office suite including MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
