Job summary

SMILESTONE PAEDIATRIC THERAPY CENTER (M) SDN BHD in Ipoh, Perak seeks an Early Intervention/Special Educational Needs Teacher to support children’s development and learning inside an inclusive classroom.

You will assess development, plan sessions, implement IEP-based strategies, and prepare materials while maintaining progress records and communicating with parents and a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and set up child’s development goals.
• Plan and conduct teaching sessions based on each child’s developmental goals.
• Implement structured teaching strategies and individualized education plans (IEP).
• Prepare teaching materials, visual aids, sensory activities, and classroom resources.
• Monitor and document children’s progress and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct regular parent updates and provide home program guidance when needed.
• Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and other professionals.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and appropriate intervention strategies.
• Participate in meetings, case discussions, training, and professional development activities.
• Ensure compliance with center policies, child safeguarding, and confidentiality standards.
