We are looking for an EAL Teacher to join the International Secondary School to support students with zero or low level English in the International Secondary School. This programme will develop survival and initial English language. This role will plan, deliver and assess the progress of English development and support students and parents to engage in our community.

Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park, Kuala Lumpur campus is a large 3‑18 school located on a green 20-acre site with excellent facilities and offers a welcoming, inclusive and stimulating place to work. Qualification and Experience Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Education (TESOL, TEFL or EAL qualified) Proven experience supporting students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) in an educational setting. A minimum of 2 years’ experience is preferable in an international school. Working with Secondary age pupils (12-17) role and is a flexible team player. Creative, inspiring, patient, resourceful, and energetic. Puts children at the heart of everything they do. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Is committed to wider aspects of school life and learning including developing students' life skills to support development and growth.
Assess students' English language proficiency and identify individual learning needs. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging EAL lessons tailored to students' language abilities. Support students in developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to adapt teaching strategies and learning materials for EAL learners. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate assessment records. Develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) where appropriate. Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' progress and language development. Promote an inclusive learning environment that values cultural and linguistic diversity.
