Job summary

Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park, Kuala Lumpur campus, is seeking an EAL Teacher to support students with zero or low level English in the International Secondary School, developing survival and initial English. This role will plan, deliver and assess English development and help students and parents engage in our community.

Qualifications

• Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Education (TESOL, TEFL or EAL qualified).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching English as an Additional Language in an international setting.
• Experience with Secondary age pupils (12–17) and working as part of a flexible team.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' English language proficiency and identify learning needs.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging EAL lessons tailored to students' language abilities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt teaching strategies and materials for EAL learners.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' progress and language development.
• Promote an inclusive learning environment that values cultural and linguistic diversity.
