We are currently seeking a high-caliber professional to join our team as a Senior Change Manager.

The vision for the Global Chief Operating Office (GCOO) Transformation Services is to be the Group’s primary change partner, supporting the implementation of the Group Strategy and making change a source of sustainable competitive advantage for HSBC. GCOO change teams work between Lines of Businesses and Functions on high-profile programs, from strategy and design to delivery and change adoption.

What you’ll do:

  1. Innovation and Idea Management: Propose innovative ideas, test and refine with colleagues and stakeholders; identify opportunities to bring new and efficient ways of working; stay updated on industry trends.
  2. Commerciality: Shape project direction based on HSBC’s strategies; identify business development opportunities; consider impact of group priorities; quantify investment case opportunities; challenge business decisions.
  3. Project Governance & Planning: Design business and operating models; manage projects independently; handle stakeholder relationships; establish project governance; manage resources and costs; track progress; provide updates.
  4. Design and Business Analysis: Design problem-solving approaches; analyze current and future states; elicit and validate requirements; apply financial modeling; ensure compliance and execute testing; plan deployment activities; perform gap analysis.
  5. Delivery at Pace: Ensure reliable delivery; prioritize workload; manage off-track activities; identify simplification opportunities; maintain team morale and work velocity.

Qualifications - External

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in change environments, including strategy, design, initiation, and delivery.
  • Experience in large, complex organizations, especially in banking, implementing organizational change and business transformation projects.
  • Senior stakeholder management skills; impactful communication and influencing abilities.
  • Experience in banking operations, system transformation, and organization design, including M&A.
  • Proficiency in data-driven problem solving; strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • End-to-end project management experience; knowledge of consulting, Agile, Waterfall methodologies.
  • Understanding of how change benefits HSBC and its stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience managing large teams and multiple work streams.
  • Optional: Cantonese/Mandarin skills; certifications like MSP, PMP, Prince2, CBAP, CSM.
