About the role

DONGWHA ELECTROLYTE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Assistant Engineer to join our team in Senai Johor. As a full-time role, you will play a key part in optimizing our manufacturing processes and ensuring the efficient production of our high-quality products.

This role is an essential to ensure smooth and efficient production operations by aligning material availability, manpower, and machine capacity with customer demand. It helps the company meet on-time delivery (OTD) targets, maintain optimal inventory levels, and avoid production delays or bottlenecks. The position also supports quality and compliance through timely documentation, reporting, and coordination with various departments, contributing directly to overall productivity and customer satisfaction

Job Description Summary

Responsible for planning and scheduling production activities to ensure timely order delivery, efficient use of resources (materials, manpower, machines), and smooth operations. Key duties include stock and report management, barcode and system registration, coordination with purchasing for supplies, monitoring team performance and attendance, and ensuring all required documents and online submissions are completed on time.

What you'll be doing

Scheduling , planning and monitoring for production process based on material, manpower and machine.

Coordinate with the production team to identify and resolve issues that may impact production output.

Plan production in order to meet customer orders and on-time delivery (OTD). Increase self-competency for specific task/ job scope.

Liaise with other departments, such as logistics and maintenance, to ensure a smooth and integrated production process.

Assisting Production Manager in various type of audits such as ISO audits, Customer audit and etc.

Making decision and update improvement plan file before deadline.

Avoid bottleneck chase for consumable and repairing items.

Chasing and follow-up with purchase team for pricing and quotations.

Complete online submission on-time and without fail.

Collect daily/weekly/ monthly documents from part leader for manager approval.

Monitor production team effective working hours and attendance issue.

Communicate and inform person in-charge any important issue from other department.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Familiarity with production planning and scheduling software and quality control systems.

Familiarity with ERP system will be an added advantage.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Availability to join immediately will be considered an advantage.
