About the role

Sakata Inx (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a leading manufacturing company in the printing and packaging industry, is seeking a skilled and organised Purchasing Cum Shipping Assistant to join their team in Shah Alam, Selangor. This full-time position is a crucial support role that will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's procurement and logistics functions.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting the Purchasing Manager in sourcing, negotiating, and securing the best deals from suppliers
2. Processing and tracking purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, and monitoring deliveries
3. Coordinating and managing the shipping of products to domestic and international customers
4. Maintaining detailed records and inventory data to support effective supply chain management
5. Collaborating cross-functionally to address any logistical or procurement-related issues
6. Providing administrative support to the Purchasing and Shipping teams as required

What we're looking for

1. At least 2 years of experience in a purchasing, shipping, or logistics role, ideally within the manufacturing industry
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
3. Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data tracking and reporting
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
5. Problem-solving mindset and willingness to take initiative to improve processes
6. Knowledge of international shipping procedures and documentation requirements
