Job description

The Application Engineer based in Malaysia will provide technical assistance, troubleshoot issues on-site, support sales activities, and enhance customer relationships in SEA markets.

Sales & Business Development:

1. Support the sales team with technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposal preparation.
2. Collaborate with customers to identify solutions that meet their requirements.
3. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within the AHU manufacturing industry.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

1. Provide technical guidance on product applications and specifications to HVAC manufacturers and customers.
2. Conduct on-site troubleshooting and resolve technical issues related to our products.
3. Assist in testing and commissioning at customer sites.

Product & Project Management:

1. Work closely with the R&D and Product Management teams to provide market feedback.
2. Assist in new product introduction, training, and application development.
3. Ensure all project deliverables meet customer expectations in terms of quality and performance.

Customer Service & Collaboration:

1. Serve as the key liaison between customers and internal teams.
2. Provide technical training and support to customers and distributors.
3. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering or equivalent.
2. Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in the HVAC industry or working with HVAC manufacturers.
3. Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.
4. Technical Skills: Solid expertise in Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge, proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D modeling is a plus; PLC and drives experience and/or understanding HVAC systems are preferred.
5. Business Acumen: Ability to balance technical expertise with a business-oriented mindset.
6. Networking: Established relationships in the AHU manufacturing sector are advantageous.
7. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, customer-centric approach, and ability to work well in a team environment.
