The Plant Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient use of production resources to manufacture quality products on time and in accordance with lean production standards within an environment focused on continuous improvement.
What You Will Do
- Support the new plant renovation and fit-out phase to ensure the new plant is suitable for manufacturing within the defined timeline.
- Build a strong operations team to complete the production transfer plan.
- Organize the operations team to support ERP implementation (Navision).
- Plan, guide, and direct the total operations of the manufacturing facility to achieve objectives related to growth, profitability, quality, on-time performance, inventory management, safety, lean manufacturing, and customer satisfaction.
- Support sales growth for both customer-specific opportunities and as outlined in the strategic plan.
- Initiate plans and processes that minimize manufacturing costs through effective use of resources including manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
- Provide leadership and execute on strategic KPIs and Operational Excellence (OPEX) savings.
- Establish site policies, operating procedures, and goals in line with corporate guidelines and customer expectations.
- Set challenging performance targets and develop contingency plans to meet customer requirements and sustain business relationships.
- Drive Operational Excellence by maintaining and continuously improving site performance in SQCDM (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale).
- Enhance product profitability through facility and cost improvements, as well as productivity initiatives.
- Develop and lead a team of effective managers to achieve profitability and operational improvements, leveraging performance metrics like the balanced scorecard, Annual Operating Plan, and PMP for accountability.
- Improve safety records by addressing physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes; maintain and enhance housekeeping standards.
- Create a healthy workplace that promotes employee engagement, development, and organizational effectiveness.
We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Over 10 years of solid experience as a Plant Manager.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to thrive in a highly productive, constantly changing environment.
- ERP experience.
- Proven success in implementing Lean methodologies for continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for interaction across departments.
- Analytical mindset with good planning skills; able to maintain a can-do attitude under pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
- Experience in setting up a new plant is a plus.
- Experience with new product introductions.
- Basic finance skills.
