A leading company in fund management is seeking an Investment Analyst with 5-8 years of experience. The role involves preparing credit reports, conducting market research, and supporting business development efforts. Ideal candidates will have a strong quantitative background, proficiency in financial modeling, and excellent communication skills.
Responsiblilities
·Prepare credit reports and construct cash flow forecasts, linking credit recommendations to overall portfolio strategies.
·Conduct macroeconomic and market research relevant to the fixed income space; present findings through written reports and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
·Support business development and marketing efforts by sharing research insights and investment analysis; produce ad hoc reports in response to market events, client requests, and new business opportunities.
·Contribute to the development of portfolio analytics by advising on process enhancements and building financial models for new security types and investment products.
·Provide backup support for money market fund placements, bond trade entries, and assist with administrative aspects of fund management, including pre- and post-trade compliance.
·Assist with Investment Committee reporting and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
·Must have at least 5 - 8 years of working experience, with a minimum of 3 -5 years as an Investment Analyst in the fund management industry.
·A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline is required.
·Strong ability to build financial models for tasks such as cash flow projections, financial statement analysis, and economic forecasting.
·Demonstrated experience applying quantitative skills to credit analysis and fund management research.
·Proficiency in relevant programming languages or systems such as Python, R, or Stata is preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
·Must be able to communicate and explain quantitative work clearly in plain language, both verbally and in writing.
·Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with creativity and analytical thinking, are highly valued.
·Preferably has passed the Securities Commission licensing examinations (Module 9 and Module 10).
