The Training Coordinator (Production) will be responsible for overseeing the onboarding and training of new employees, ensuring that On-the-Job Training (OJT) is executed according to established policies, and supporting continuous employee development in production and safety processes. This position will coordinate with department process trainers, manage training schedules, and ensure that all employees receive the necessary certifications and assessments. The role also includes providing administrative support by preparing training reports and documentation for management review. A strong emphasis will be placed on ensuring that training aligns with company standards, production goals, and safety protocols.

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Employee Orientation & On-the-Job Training (OJT):

Conduct New Employee Orientation: Facilitate orientation sessions for new hires, introducing them to company policies, safety procedures, and production processes and quality standards.

Coordinate OJT Programs: Collaborate with department process trainers to ensure that OJT is conducted in line with standardized Work Instructions (WI).

OJT Compliance: Monitor and ensure that OJT program is being carried out systematically and consistently to meet the required skill standards and operational needs.

2. Production & Safety Training:

Support Safety Training: Support safety training sessions to ensure that employees are well-versed in safety protocols and best practices for safe operations.

Coordinate Production-Related Trainings: Assist in scheduling and organizing production-related training programs, ensuring that employees are well-prepared to meet quality standards and production targets.

Training Calendar: Oversee the training calendar, ensuring that all training sessions are scheduled and executed in line with production schedules.

3. Certification & Assessment Management:

Monitor Certifications: Track employee certifications, ensuring that all necessary certifications are completed on time and that employees are up-to-date.

Conduct Assessments: Support ongoing assessments for employees based on OJT and other training, identifying skills gaps and opportunities for improvement.

4. Training Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain Accurate Records: Keep detailed records of training sessions, certifications, assessments, and employee performance to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.

Prepare Training Reports: Generate regular training and certification reports, monitor employee progress, training gaps, and any areas for operational improvement.

Training Documentation Updates: Work with Department PICs on updating training materials, including Work Instructions, training logs, and reports, ensuring they reflect the latest standards and best practices.

Collaborate with Process Trainers: Work closely with department trainers and supervisors to ensure training programs are updated to meet the needs of the production floor and align with operational goals.

Support Training Enhancement: Support L&D in the development of new training programs to improve employee skills and overall performance.

Job Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

Minimum of SPM, STPM, or Diploma in Training, Education, or Engineering field.

At least 1 year of experience in a production or training role. Experience coordinating On-the-Job Training (OJT) or in a technical production environment. Knowledge of production processes, machinery operations, and technical procedures is a plus, especially for coordinating production-specific training.

Previous experience in safety training or knowledge of manufacturing processes is a strong advantage.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees at all levels, especially during training sessions.

Able to take initiative, coordinate various tasks and training schedules.

Good organizational and time management skills

Ability to identify training gaps and report to HR Manager

Strong attention to detail in maintaining accurate training records and compliance documents.
