Job description

Acclime Malaysia is a premier provider of professional formation, accounting, Human Resource (HR) and advisory services in Malaysia. We focus on providing high quality outsourcing and consulting services to our international clients in Malaysia and throughout the region.

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing full set accounting, bookkeeping, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and provide guidance to potential clients.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting with bookkeeping and other accounting practices.
  • Reviewing and validating accounting entries input by clients to ensure compliance with Accounting Principles and Malaysia Income Tax Act.
  • Identifying potential accounting and tax compliance issues in a timely manner and communicating them to the manager.
  • Providing consulting services to SMEs on accounting process improvements / automation of finance function.
  • Preparation of Full Set Accounts includes reconciliation and submission of reporting packages depending on the requirements of your client.
  • Preparation of audited / unaudited financial statement.
  • Liaise with auditors, corporate tax agents and related government agencies.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by superiors.
  • Engaging directly with clients at the client’s site to get technical & operational insights for project assignments.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent with minimum 1 year working experience.
  • Understands MFRS and MPERS and is able to apply these different standards.
  • Familiar with Accounting Software (Xero, SQL, QBO) will be an added advantage.
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-team, global environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for consistency.
  • Able to communicate with client independently. Proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage, especially for our China market.
