- Key responsibilities in relation to guaranteed compensation (salary, fixed allowances), variable compensation (performance bonus), benefits and perquisites, recognition programs, wellness programs, LTIP (if applicable) and International Mobility (expatriates / assignees) include:
- Participate in market benchmarking exercises and conduct any statistical analysis on competitiveness of the rewards structure and practices against market data and best practices
- Conduct review of policies, guidelines and processes to ensure competitiveness and compliance (if relevant)
- Assist in the design of new initiatives and programs where strategic and feasible
- Manage the annual review exercise (increment and bonus)
- Advise and provide consultation to Business Heads/ HR/ Management on rewards related matters
- Manage the daily administrative operations related to rewards activities
Performance
- To work together with HRBP to coordinate and monitor the management and implementation of the Group's Performance Management framework, procedures, and activities
- Manage the annual performance management review exercise (setting goals, mid-year review, year-end review, calibration, communication)
- To support the implementation of Sime Property's Talent and Performance Management Framework from a performance management perspective
- Advise, support, and facilitate HR in operating units and countries in performance related matters and to provide supporting resources in the identification of improvement areas
- Benchmark performance management practices within different companies and recommended improvement initiatives
- Facilitate managers and individual coaching sessions with employees placed on Performance Improvement Plans (PIP)
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Psychology, or a related field; professional certifications like GRP or CCP are an advantage
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in Rewards and Performance Management, with 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the Malaysian property development or real estate sector
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws (Employment Act, Income Tax Act, EPF, SOCSO, EIS) and compliance requirements for compensation and benefits
- Solid experience in managing annual salary reviews, bonus exercises and benefits programs
- Proficient in interpreting market benchmarking data to drive competitiveness in rewards strategy
- Skilled in performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, year-end reviews, calibration sessions, and PIP coaching
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and exposure to HRIS systems.
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and process improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult and influence stakeholders across all levels
- High integrity, professionalism, and resilience with the ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
