Purpose of Position
To provide proactive, comprehensive, and high-quality customer service in all aspects of export and ocean freight forwarding services, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with DSV standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to seafreight shipment inquiries, bookings, and documentation requests via email, phone, or fax.

  • Register and maintain accurate shipment records in CW1 system in accordance with SOP and compliance requirements.

  • Coordinate shipment processes from booking to delivery, including Bill of Lading issuance, manifest submissions, and POD retrieval.

  • Ensure document accuracy, including Bills of Lading, shipping certificates, and VGM/SOLAS documentation.

  • Handle hazardous cargo requirements and liaise with carriers for necessary approvals.

  • Work with permit declaration vendors to manage documentation and approvals.

  • Ensure timely updates and pre-alerts to customers and destination offices.

  • Follow up proactively with internal and external stakeholders on shipment status, discrepancies, or issues.

  • Escalate unresolved issues to the reporting manager.

  • Adhere to DSV Code of Conduct, global processes, customer-specific SOPs, and QHSE policies.

  • Participate in internal company initiatives and projects.

  • Monitor and manage cargo insurance claims and shipment irregularities.

Experience & Education

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in seafreight or freight forwarding (preferred).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Email.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
