Mission

The Geosolutions Geophysicist is responsible for contributing expertise in acquisition, processing techniques, and geophysics, with an understanding of interpretation and inversion.

Responsibilities

1. Interface consistently with customers and advise them regarding processing parameters.
2. Process data using appropriate technology and software.
3. Ensure processed data is delivered to customers on schedule.
4. Define, build, and submit test jobs, interpret test results, provide recommendations on parameters, and suggest further testing if required.
5. Validate the accuracy and efficiency of all testing and production job sequences.
6. Stay updated on developments within seismic data processing, communication, and data transfer techniques.
7. Investigate and report problems encountered during seismic data processing.
8. Mentor junior staff.
9. Assist the Project Leader with daily project and personnel management, including velocity picking and quality control. Organize and delegate work.
10. Forecast resource requirements and report project status.
11. Archive projects.
