Location: Based in Taman Klang Jaya initially; will relocate to Taman Perindustrian Puchong upon completion of our new facility.

Job Overview

We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in expanding the equipment rental business. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in machinery/equipment trading, with a focus on equipment rental. This role requires market analysis, strategic growth initiatives, and building lasting client relationships to drive rental business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Market Expansion: Identify and explore new business opportunities in the machinery/equipment rental sector.
  2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and project managers to increase rental agreements and long-term contracts.
  3. Sales Strategy & Targeting: Formulate and implement strategies to achieve business growth targets, ensuring increased revenue from rentals.
  4. Rental Fleet Management: Oversee promotion and management of the rental fleet, ensuring optimal utilization and uptime.
  5. Partnership Development: Cultivate relationships with industry partners and stakeholders to secure rental contracts and expand the client base.
  6. Negotiation & Contracts: Lead negotiations for rental agreements, ensuring favorable terms and smooth contract execution.
  7. Market Analysis & Reporting: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands; provide regular reports on performance and opportunities.
  8. Customer Support: Work closely with clients to understand their machinery needs, providing tailored rental solutions and post-rental support.

Requirements

  1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development, sales, or account management in machinery or rental industry, with understanding of manufacturing flow.
  2. Industry Expertise: Knowledge of stainless steel products, rubber/latex products, and rental industry; understanding manufacturing/production processes.
  3. Proven Track Record: Success in achieving business development targets, especially in machinery/equipment rental agreements.
  4. Sales & Negotiation Skills: Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  5. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with decision-makers and presenting proposals.
  6. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
  7. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing/production and rental operations.
  8. Leadership & Management: Ability to manage teams and drive initiatives.
  9. Travel: Willing to travel for client meetings, site visits, and network expansion.
