Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years of experience in drafting, preferably in the solar industry.

Job description

Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.) to produce accurate technical drawings for solar panel layouts, electrical schematics, and other components related to solar energy systems.

Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop effective design solutions.

Participate in project meetings to review design specifications and make necessary revisions based on feedback from the team or client.

Collect data to ensure that the proposed solar system is suitable for the location and aligns with the client’s needs.

Maintain a clear and organized record of all design changes, project progress, and technical information.

Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date with advancements in solar technology, CAD software, and drafting best practices.

Provide recommendations to improve the design process or enhance the performance of solar energy systems.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering).
• Certification in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus.
• Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in drafting, preferably in the solar industry or related fields such as electrical or civil engineering.
• Hands-on experience with solar energy system designs is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
• Knowledge of solar system components (solar panels, inverters, wiring, etc.) and their configurations.
• Understanding of electrical schematics, PV (photovoltaic) system designs, and energy efficiency practices.
