Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Product Manager to spearhead the Wipes, OEM, and Away-From-Home businesses across Southeast Asia. This pivotal role focuses on accelerating growth in the Wipes category (Baby, Feminine, Adult, and Hygiene) while also managing the OEM Paper and Away-From-Home (AFH) segments, making it a key growth pillar for the organization.
You will play an essential role to:
1) Consumer Analysis
- Use of various research resources and tools to understand customers’ & consumers’ current and future needs to identify innovation opportunities as well as ensuring current offerings are relevant to our target customers & consumers.
- Identify and use relevant consumer insights to ensure the relevance of product offerings.
- Co-develop and refine research plans to build consumer understanding, seek clarity on current challenges, identify future innovation directions, etc.
2) Competitive Analysis
- Collate and analyze competitors’ branding, pricing, products, communications & etc within Southeast Asia.
- Analyze and compare the overall direction of competitors to ensure that Product Strategy continues to provide a competitive advantage in the market where we compete.
- Update and track regional competitive brands with in-marketing leads and coordinate with R&D to deliver semi-annual competitive analysis in a timely manner.
3) Strategic Innovation Planning
- Support the Marketing Innovation Manager in crafting the 5-year innovation funnel for the business.
- Participate and support the implementation of ideation sessions/ workshops to align products, packaging, communications, and promotions to the brand platform, business objectives, and market needs.
4) Product/ Brand/ Category Launches and Relaunches
- Provide input into the development of 8Q category plans for all countries.
- Share insights of new products & brands.
- Key stakeholder for all innovation projects and works closely with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve the desired outcome.
- Collect data and analyze post-launch assessment.
5) Project Management
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource needs; identify key stakeholders for project kickoff.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, assign tasks, and oversee day-to-day project execution.
- Monitor project performance, manage risks and issues, control budgets, and provide regular progress updates.
- Ensure successful delivery of project outcomes; conduct post-project reviews, document lessons learned, and close out the project.
6) Detailed Job Description by Category:
a) Wipes
- Lead the strategic growth of the wipes category (Baby, Feminine, Adult, Hygiene) across SEA markets.
- Identify new opportunities and product bundles to drive category penetration and expand market share.
- Oversees the end-to-end product lifecycle — from ideation to production, launch, and post-launch support.
b) OEM Paper
- Manage OEM product specification requests, acting as the primary liaison for B2B customers across SEA with the product development team in China/Indonesia.
- Support the development of product bundles tailored to regional and customer-specific needs.
- Ensure operational excellence through close collaboration with supply chain, production, and commercial teams.
c) AFH
- Work closely with the AFH team to provide brand and product support to win contracts and grow Vinda’s footprint in the Away-From-Home category.
- Coordinate with R&D, operations, and factory teams to ensure timely product delivery and production efficiency.
- Partner with commercial teams to align innovation strategies with business objectives and customer demands.
- Facilitate strong communication across stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
7) Budget Ownership
- Manages the category budget for the assigned portfolio.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field
- At least 5 - 8 years working experience in brand management or product marketing in FMCG or personal care.
- Proven experience in category development, product management, and regional execution.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Solid analytical and commercial acumen; comfortable managing across complexity and matrix teams.
