IT Project Manager (Malay Speaker)

IT Project Manager (Malay Speaker) required by Whitehall Resources for a 3-6 Month extendable project assignment for our client based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Start Date: July 2025

Duration: 3-6 Months extendable

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Delivery: Hybrid - Candidate must be willing to travel when required

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Project Manager to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role focuses on supporting and running the day-to-day activities within our partners, guiding them in adopting and improving product utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
2. Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
3. Support the implementation and refinement of operational models and methodologies to ensure process adherence and consistency.
4. Monitor product performance metrics (e.g., number of buyers, GMV, bugs) and facilitate discussions to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
5. Partner with Key Account Manager and Pillar Owners to align on team goals, roadmaps, and execution.
6. Foster a culture of transparency and collaboration by facilitating training sessions, workshops, meetings.
7. Maintain project documentation, including contracts, reports, and project charters.

Requirements:

1. 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager for tech products.
2. Strong knowledge of agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
3. Experience with tools like Jira, Monday, and Power BI for reporting and analysis.
4. Excellent facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse teams.
5. Fluent in Malay and good level of English.
6. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
7. Candidates within Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas are preferred and must be prepared to travel if required.
8. Engagement with technical teams, understanding technical concepts, and translating complex requirements into actionable plans.
9. Must have your own car, passion, energy, good university background, tech background, and good communication skills.
10. Experience in E-Commerce, B2B, Retail, and Distribution industries (nice to have).
