Business Analyst

Years of Experience:

1-3+ years of experience working as a business analyst and/or as a developer

Location:

Kuala Lumpur & Other Locations

Main Responsibilities:

1. Understanding of business requirements and translating them into functional concepts, test descriptions, and executing system tests.
2. Developing and documenting detailed business and functional requirements for IT projects involving applications written in Java/Angular and COBOL.
3. Supporting departments in functional and technical problem analysis in day-to-day business.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and project managers, to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
5. Identifying and analyzing business processes within banking and finance to recommend improvements and optimizations.
6. Assisting in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets for IT projects.
7. Monitoring project progress to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements in banking and finance.

Required Skills:

1. Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT development within the banking and finance industry or asset servicing.
2. Knowledge of project development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
3. Familiarity with technologies such as Java, COBOL, and Angular.
4. Knowledge of SQL.
5. Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and test repositories like Squash.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams and business stakeholders.
