Job description

Developing and implementing purchasing strategies to optimise costs and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Negotiating contracts with suppliers, managing supplier relationships, and evaluating supplier performance.

Overseeing the procurement process, including sourcing, vendor selection, contract management, and purchase order processing.

Maintaining accurate inventory records and implementing effective inventory control systems.

Analysing procurement data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

Providing leadership, mentoring, and training to the purchasing team.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant roles, preferably in the manufacturing and retail industry.
• Mandarin language proficiency is mandatory, as it is required to communicate with China suppliers.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in data analysis and performance reporting to drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle complex procurement scenarios.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of purchasing professionals.
