What’s The Role

Technical support roles are present across all Business units within Shell and are typically frontline positions. These jobs in Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations involve working in teams responsible for the safe and efficient daily operation of our global projects and assets. Roles may include Instrumentation Technicians, Electricians, Welders, Mechanics, Pipefitters, and Field and Process Operators.


What You’ll Be Doing

As a Mechanical Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Performing maintenance activities as outlined in Streamline.
  2. Executing maintenance instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor, including record keeping, cost monitoring, and performance tracking.
  3. Carrying out maintenance according to scheduled plans and HSSE regulations, including the PTW system.
  4. Collaborating with Blending, Filling, and Tank Farm Operators to maximize asset availability.
  5. Supporting commissioning and startup of new manufacturing plants.
  6. Maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping of the production area.
  7. Coordinating with the Maintenance team for servicing GMP equipment with minimal downtime.
  8. Assisting the maintenance supervisor in developing and writing work instructions and SOPs.
  9. Executing maintenance activities on schedule and in a timely manner.
  10. Performing routine preventive maintenance checks and reporting based on equipment conditions.
  11. Having basic knowledge of plant utility equipment.
  12. Consistently executing current preventive maintenance tasks.
What You Bring

We are interested in candidates with:

  1. A Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with at least 3 years of relevant maintenance and engineering experience in manufacturing industries.
  2. Familiarity with relevant standards, specifications, and technical drawings.
  3. Experience with plant equipment and facilities.
  4. Experience in maintaining rotating equipment.
  5. Lifting experience is advantageous.
