Onboarding & Onsite Events Experience Specialist is an energetic, resourceful, and ultra-organized individual who support the Global Wellbeing pillars – physical, mental, social, career and financial – and gives team members a sense of belonging and community through activities, engagement and events. The ideal candidate is high energy, has a positive attitude, enjoys supporting social events and appreciates the power of connection.
Specific to the Micron Launch Onboarding Program, this position plays a crucial role in welcoming and integrating new team members into the organization. This role focuses on crafting, implementing, and managing comprehensive onboarding programs that ensure smooth transitions for new hires, thereby improving their efficiency and engagement from day one
All of the
People Experience & Wellbeing roles are key partners to the site/country leaders, PMOs, and GBPPs, while also doing the work needed to support the Global Wellbeing team and its programs and initiatives – you are a critical part of a dynamic team which is wholly passionate about providing the best experience for our team members; encouraging a relationship with these key stakeholders is an important part of your role.
Responsibilities And Tasks
Coordinate Micron Launch Onboarding Program
Onboarding Program Development
- Design and develop onboarding curricula, learning items, and resources tailored to new team members' needs
- Maintain and update onboarding materials to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
- Collaborate with stakeholders to capture onboarding requirements and feedback
- Assess the needs at each location and create an approach to ensure program impact and that local needs are addressed
Micron Launch Onboarding Delivery
- Partner with local Global People Services and Wellbeing resources to ensure smooth and experience-focused delivery of new hire day one events, activities, communications and logistics
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to provide specialized training as needed
Program Governance
- Manage a continuous feedback channel from key stakeholders and new team members locally to incorporate their needs and feedback into programming
- Establish and supervise program health metrics to ensure program efficiency and effectiveness
- Steward global protocols, processes and practices for consistency and governance. Partner at the local/regional level to ensure practices are relevant and adopted
- Partner with Pathfinder team to ensure there is a coordinated overall approach to onboarding from Micron Launch to Pathfinder
- Administer and support translation validation for Micron Launch program content
Collaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Programs
- Identify key site leadership and impactful partners at each site in the region
- Create and maintain partnerships with key People Program Managers, Global Wellbeing team, Global Talent Management, Facilities, EHS, Foundation, Procurement, site leaders, PMOs and executive admins, and supplier partners
- Create a community network of peers and community resources
- Lead the communication and promotion to local site networks, and improve the delivery of materials and relationship with the on-site contacts
- Connect with site team members through creative and engaging channels
- Establish relationships with all levels of the organization and business to ensure awareness of team member needs and current offerings
- Connect with stakeholders and solicit input and feedback to ensure expectations are met
- Collaborate with counterparts in different regions to share best practices
Make meaningful memories
- Coordinate event planning and execution with local event committees to execute company-sponsored global events
- Micron Anniversary, Annual Family Day events, vendor partner promotion, wellbeing activities, Micron holiday gift, milestone anniversary appreciation events, etc.
- Administer the global budget for these company-sponsored global events.
- Partner with local Wellbeing resources to ensure that site event executive summaries and in-country event surveys are administered and prepared for site leadership
- Hire and coordinate with global event management companies as needed and as budget allows
Evaluate team member program metrics
- Implement and drive continuous improvements to the team member experience to increase engagement, drive productivity and increase retention
- Regularly conduct focus groups and surveys with team members to identify areas to improve their experience and to assess the impact of implemented solutions
- Design, organize and analyze survey, focus group and other primary research instruments to gauge experience within team member programs
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Event Planning, Event Management, Hospitality or Communications, or equivalent experience is required.
Skills And Qualifications
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing without direct authority.
- Experience with employee engagement, user experience design, design thinking, and change management.
- Positivity, appreciation, and charisma that draws people in. Someone who relates well to people from all backgrounds and who can lift people’s spirits

- Strong project management skills, ability to assess and translate business strategies and workforce implications

- Experience in multinational company and technology industry is preferred
