Job Description

The main purpose of this role is to identify and develop integrated logistics business. The successful candidate will work closely with the Branch Manager, Sales Team, Operations Team, Customer Service Manager, Customs Regulatory Compliance Manager, General Manager Freight Forwarding, and Managing Director to implement strategies that maximize yield from all products and increase market share for GAC within Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Achieve personal Operating Income targets and departmental goals, including generating three times the cost to the company from new clients and maintaining revenue from existing clients.
  2. Quotation Management:
    1. Maintain a 40% quotation strike rate.
    2. Promptly send quotations to clients and follow up diligently, aiming for 40 quotes per month.
  3. Sales Planning and Client Acquisition:
    1. Prepare weekly sales visit plans and record visit details in the GAC Sales system.
    2. Conduct 30 sales visits per month.
    3. Target and secure 4 new clients each month.
  4. Credit and Receivables Management:
    1. Ensure credit approvals are in place for all credit clients.
    2. Assist the Finance department in maintaining receivables within the agreed terms, with an average aging of 30 days.
  5. Sales Pipeline and Market Awareness:
    1. Maintain a minimum of 10 high-value targets (HVT) in the sales pipeline at all times.
    2. Be willing and able to travel within Malaysia.
    3. Create awareness of GAC in the market.
Job Requirements
  • Possess at least a Diploma in any field; a Diploma in Logistics, Import & Export, or Transportation is advantageous.
  • Own transport with a valid Malaysian driving license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in air, sea, or road forwarding services is desirable.
