Inspector of Works (Architectural and Landscape)

The candidate is responsible for supervising and inspecting architectural finishes and landscape works on-site. The role ensures construction quality, compliance with design intent, and adherence to relevant standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor and conduct quality inspections on architectural finishes and landscape elements, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, drawings, current legislation, and standard policies.
  2. Assist, instruct, and advise contractors on site regarding quality control and interpretation of contract documents.
  3. Prepare progress reports, document site activities, and handle related matters.
  4. Identify remedial/outstanding works and ensure they are completed within stipulated timeframes.
  5. Report regularly to superiors on work progress and issues encountered.
  6. Maintain all relevant forms, documents, correspondence, and records related to the project.
  7. Attend site and technical meetings as directed.
  8. Perform all other duties as assigned by superiors or management.
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma / Degree / Bachelor in Architecture and/or Landscape Architecture.
  • 3-5 years of experience in architectural and/or landscape supervision in construction projects, preferably high-rise projects. Civil and engineering knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of architectural details, finishing standards, landscape materials, and plants. Familiarity with GBI and GreenRe is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Knowledge of Qlassic standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Registration with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) and/or Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
  • Ability to work independently, with analytical skills, discipline, proactivity, and attention to detail.
  • Own transport and willingness to travel as needed.
