Job description

Job Title: Finance Department Head

This role requires you to oversee the entire Finance department, managing a team of 20 employees and reporting directly to the CEO.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership, direction, and management for the finance and accounting teams.
  2. Act as a leader, offering insights and perspectives to the VP / GM, and exercise sound judgment to identify and resolve financial and operational challenges.
  3. Deliver strategic recommendations to the CEO, board members, and senior management.
  4. Translate corporate strategy into actionable business plans with measurable targets; oversee business planning and forecasting, liaising with HQ, CFO, and division managers.
  5. Manage investment activities and collaborate with investment bankers to raise capital for expansion.
  6. Provide expert advice on long-term business and financial planning.
  7. Establish and nurture relationships with senior management and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., MIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is essential.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial control and reporting, preferably within a listed company in Malaysia.
  • Deep understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements.
  • Proven experience in consolidating financial statements for multiple entities.
  • Strong grasp of internal controls and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • High integrity and ethical standards.
Job Offer

The successful candidate will receive an attractive monthly salary ranging from RM 25,000 to RM 30,000.
