The Senior/Executive Fashion Designer plays a key role in shaping the brand’s fashion collections by developing innovative, visually appealing, and market-relevant designs. Collaborating closely with a cross-functional team of merchandisers, buyers, and production staff, the designer ensures a smooth transition from concept to final garment. The role requires a proactive and adaptable approach, with a focus on creating designs that reflect the Company’s distinctive vision while staying aligned with market trends and consumer demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Development:
- Collaborate with the design team to prepare technical drawings and sketches for new collections.
- Prepare and update detailed design documentation, including specifications and technical drawings, to guide the production process.
- Assist in the selection of fabrics, trims, and colors that align with seasonal themes and design concepts.
- Ensure that designs are both innovative and commercially viable by considering fabric properties, market trends, and cost constraints.
- Garment Construction:
- Develop technical specifications and patterns for garment construction, ensuring that they align with the design vision.
- Work closely with the sourcing team to create accurate prototypes and mock-ups.
- Conduct fittings and alterations to ensure the design’s fit, silhouette, and quality meet brand standards.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues with designs and propose solutions to ensure smooth production.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor the production process to ensure that garments meet quality standards, both in terms of construction and finish.
- Collaborate with the production team to address any issues related to fit, fabric quality, or production errors.
- Conduct final quality checks on finished garments to ensure consistency and adherence to design standards.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including merchandisers, buyers, production, and sourcing departments.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, and team members to ensure designs are produced as envisioned.
- Provide feedback to junior designers, guiding them through the design and production processes.
- Market Research:
- Stay updated with global fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform the design process.
- Regularly review market trends, competitors’ designs, and fabric innovations to keep the brand competitive and relevant.
- Assist in forecasting trends for future collections, ensuring that designs align with both current market demands and future fashion directions.
- Adaptability and Innovation:
- Adapt to changes in design direction, production timelines, or market requirements, ensuring flexibility and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fashion production, with a strong understanding of garment construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of textiles, garment construction, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- High creativity and attention to detail with the ability to interpret and implement current fashion trends.
- Strong understanding of global fashion trends, especially in sports global brands.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts clearly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
