Primarily responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing UMSC towards Total Quality Management through the implementation of Policy and Procedure, and compliance with governance policies, legal, and statutory requirements.
Provides leadership and expertise to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care services and is accountable for the overall management of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) for UMSC-wide.
Manage the corporate-wide risk management program, develop and maintain a written corporate risk management plan, and conduct annual evaluations of the plan’s effectiveness to meet shareholder expectations and achieve UMSC's mission and vision.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITY
Identify, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of quality and process improvement initiatives (e.g., Internal Quality Audits) with key stakeholders to enhance workflows, ensure patient safety, and maintain compliance with relevant standards and accreditations.
Lead the Internal Quality Audit team and ensure the timely execution of all internal and external audits.
Drive and collaborate with stakeholders on achieving and implementing new standards/accreditations across operational units.
Lead and track accreditation activities, ensuring requirements are met in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Manage and coordinate the review and approval of Policies and SOPs according to schedule, ensuring they are updated and compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for document control and ensuring all staff have access to the latest versions.
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely review and updates of hospital-wide SOPs.
Ensure that new laws and regulations imposed on private hospitals are enforced through appropriate SOPs and Work Instructions.
Review and evaluate hospital-wide risks and implement mitigation measures to minimize exposure.
Conduct investigations of reported incidents and sentinel events, identify root causes, mitigation actions, and trend patterns.
Implement and monitor process improvements to reduce adverse events.
Responsible for submitting all mandatory reports to relevant authorities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Preferably with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry; or
At least 5 years of clinical practice and 3 years of related administrative experience.
Working experience in a healthcare environment is an absolute prerequisite.
Previous experience in hospital accreditation, licensure, and credentialing is an advantage.
