Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Oversees the operation of all relevant technical systems and conducts regular inspections of plants and other technical operations.
2. Ensures that the preventive maintenance program is implemented according to schedule.
3. Develops a systematic maintenance plan.
4. Responsible for the administration and management of M & E services and property management.
5. Oversees the implementation of energy audits and utility conservation measures.
6. Supervises a team of technicians in specialized areas.
7. Liaises with local statutory governmental organizations regarding utilities such as water, gas, and electricity, including licensing, inspection, and testing to satisfy statutory requirements of all engineering systems.
8. Prepares the annual budget, monitors, and controls expenditures related to the overall operation costs of the Technical Services Section, especially the replacement of major equipment.
9. Ensures all term contractors’ work meets the scope, terms, and conditions specified and agreed upon in the maintenance/works contracts.
10. Attends to staff matters, including staff career development, safety, appraisal, and training, with assistance from the Learning & Development team.
