Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor all purchase requisitions received and requests for quotation, and place orders accordingly from both local and overseas vendors.
  • Assist in negotiating the best prices and payment terms while maintaining high quality, reliability, and service standards.
  • Manage daily operational purchasing needs, including planning, issuing, recording, and following up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and shipment, avoiding disruptions to production and other departments.
  • Assist in sourcing and handling for new project development.
  • Manage all direct and indirect materials purchases required by the company.
  • Responsible for vendor sourcing, selection, and annual performance evaluation.
  • Resolve issues related to supply, quality, service, and invoicing with vendors.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure provision of required documents in compliance with policies and regulations, such as Halal certificates, product specifications, and process flow charts, updating records accordingly.
  • Ensure ISO requirements and documentation are properly maintained, including updating vendor lists, conducting annual vendor performance assessments, and maintaining ISO documents.
  • Liaise with store personnel regarding cargo delivery and collection.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including Accounting, QA/QC, Production, and Store.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors.
Job Requirements
  • Preferably with a nutrition background.
  • At least 2 years of experience in nutraceuticals ingredient marketing or sourcing.
  • Diploma in Business or equivalent; experience in manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Fluent in Mandarin is preferred due to interactions with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Passionate, meticulous, positive attitude, and team-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Resourceful, self-driven, proactive, and independent.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
