Technician 5, Packaging Engineering - (Materials Center of Excellence Lab)

Job Description

Provides technical assistance to engineering personnel for material development, failure analysis as required. Works with material engineers to perform technical tests & experiments for development, qualification, firefighting, monitoring, and product improvement. Processes test runs and prepares records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify problems or test new products, new processes, and/or new materials. Able to handle different types of equipment (Thermal/Mech/Electrical/Thermo-mech). Maintains equipment and/or works with internal and external personnel to support efficient and reliable operation. Documents and maintains scientific and engineering tools & equipment. Able to monitor equipment, audits, and provide guidance to junior technicians. Willingness to work proactively either independently or within the team. Able to perform daily machine 6S and maintain 6S compliance in the lab.

Qualifications

Possess diploma in mechanical/electronics/electrical/Materials/Applied sciences or equivalent. 7-10 years working experience in handling advanced equipment. Semiconductor material test & characterization experience is preferred with knowledge on SIP & SSD processes. Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation. Oversee day-to-day operations of a facility, laboratory or multiple laboratories. Good interpersonal and communication skills (fluency in English).

Candidate will be primarily working with the following tools & techniques

Akrometrix (Shadow moire, DIC, DFP, CRE module), Micro-DIC (XY CTE, Warpage), FTIR, DSC, TMA, Abrasion, Scratch, Surface roughness, Sheet resistivity, MS Office, Origin & other statistical software. Training will be provided to all related equipment & tools as required.
