Overview
Our client is a reputable Malaysian Group of Companies predominantly involved in the business of underwriting all classes of general insurance and in the provision of credit services. In addition, the Group also has investments in properties in Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Report to the General Manager, Finance & Administration, you will be responsible for the daily financial functions which include all aspects of accounting, taxation and financial planning which include forecasts and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all financial related statutory requirements of the companies within the Group.
- Timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports ensuring compliance with reporting standards
- Liaise with Auditors, Tax agents, and authorities as and when required.
- Supervise and manage the finance team.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Finance from a reputable university or recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, etc.
- Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
- At least 5 years of working experience in the finance-related field is required. (Preferably with audit experience).
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and performance.
- Accuracy and meticulousness to ensure the integrity of financial data and reports.
- Effective communication, problem solving, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of property, taxation and consolidated financial statements.
- Self-motivated, initiative and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English and ability to write in-depth reports.
