We are looking for a Solution Analyst to be responsible for the tooling and processes that support actuarial functions within our technology ecosystem. This role requires expertise in Azure and GCP environments , as well as expertise in data engineering and data-related tools such as Databricks and Collibra.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between actuarial teams and technology, ensuring seamless integration, automation, and optimization of actuarial workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the technology ecosystem supporting actuarial processes, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Work closely with Actuarial, Data, and IT teams to design, implement, and maintain actuarial tooling and workflows.
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines and workflow automation using tools such as Databricks, Unify, and Collibra.
  • Ensure seamless integration of actuarial modeling software (Pathwise, Prophet) within cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, compliance, and performance best practices.
  • Drive process improvements by leveraging cloud-native solutions and best practices in data engineering and workflow automation.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to actuarial teams on tool usage, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in actuarial tech, cloud computing, and data management.

Requirements:
  • Ideally 7 to 10 years experience
  • Strong expertise in Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for managing actuarial workloads.
  • Knowledge of data engineering, workflow automation, and cloud-native application development.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks for data processing and analytics.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or other scripting languages for automation and integration.
  • Experience in managing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud security best practices.

Good to have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry with exposure to actuarial processes.
  • Familiarity with Collibra (Data Governance) and Unify (Workflow Automation).
  • Experience with actuarial modeling tools such as Pathwise, Prophet, or similar.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer).
