As an Experienced Associate, the PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this role include:

  • Develop and write computer programs to perform specific tasks related to organizational goals.
  • Create workflow diagrams and charts to demonstrate program functionality before coding.
  • Run software tests to identify and resolve bugs and inconsistencies.
  • Write code for software patches and bug fixes.
  • Collaborate with team members to find creative, innovative solutions to problems.
  • Work with other departments and clients to understand their needs and devise software solutions.
  • Perform regular audits to identify software inefficiencies and improve workflows.
  • Maintain and update documentation for all programs for internal and external reference.
  • Manage system quality, including troubleshooting and elimination of bugs, glitches, errors, and grammatical mistakes.
  • Ensure system stability, security, reliability, accessibility, and accuracy at all times to support timely and professional client services.
  • Conduct comprehensive system quality checks before deploying to live environments.
  • Manage company applications securely, ensuring proper access control and private information handling on channels like Github, Zendesk, etc.
  • Ensure all code, source code management, and workstream management systems follow industry best practices and are free from cybersecurity risks.

Requirements

  • Recognized university degree or relevant certifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP (Laravel Framework), OOP concepts, MySQL, JavaScript (jQuery, React).
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming languages and app architecture.
  • Experience with Git, Subversion, or similar version control tools; familiarity with IDEs like VS Code.
  • Ability to customize, maintain, and enhance existing applications within delivery schedules.
  • Proficiency in writing readable, maintainable code and documenting it extensively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a security mindset.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools like JIRA is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems and Azure environment is a plus.
  • Good interpersonal skills and team orientation.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and team collaboration.
  • Results-oriented with an agile mindset.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
