This company is a leading FMCG manufacturer committed to producing high-quality consumer goods. We are looking for a dedicated and analytical Management Accountant to join the finance team.
Your new role
Costing & Budgeting:
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and methodologies tailored to the FMCG manufacturing process.
- Perform cost analysis and determine the cost of products, including direct materials, labor, and overhead.
- Prepare, monitor, and review budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support financial planning.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to analyse production costs and identify areas for cost reduction.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed management reports, including P&L statements, margin analysis, and KPIs, for decision-making.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business strategies and operational efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and inventory levels to optimise financial performance.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and sales, to provide financial guidance and support.
- Present financial information and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, MIA, CIMA, CPA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in management accounting, with a focus on costing in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices in the FMCG industry.
- Proficiency in accounting and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
