This role offers remote work from anywhere in Germany, with up to 30% travel to clients.

About you and the role

We seek a Development Architect Billing and Payments (FS-CD) Public Cloud to develop sustainable system landscapes. Your experience with transforming business in integrated IT architectures, especially within the insurance industry, will enable you to deliver high-quality services to our clients.

You will analyze and design IT architectures, optimize business processes, and manage customer-specific solutions. Familiarity with core insurance processes, business consulting, and project management tools and methods is essential.

You will also drive innovation internally and with clients to improve system technology and business models.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Lead product development and innovation projects
• Identify and analyze enterprise business drivers to derive architecture requirements
• Analyze technology, industry, and market trends affecting Billing and Payment
• Design co-innovation strategies with customers
• Support and advocate for the FS-CD IT strategy
• Manage long-term delivery projects and implementations
• Travel up to 30% to client locations

Requirements

Work experience & education

• Extensive experience in Billing and Payments and accounting processes within the insurance industry, including the value chain of primary insurers, especially in collection and disbursement processes across various insurance types
• 12+ years of experience with Billing and Payments solutions in consulting or insurance companies
• Experience developing high-volume cloud processing applications
• Degree in IT, computer science, or business administration
• Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture and managing complex initiatives
• Experience with full lifecycle system implementations or upgrades for insurance firms
• Experience in pre-sales demos, PoC exercises, and innovation programs

Skills

• Strong understanding of insurance business processes
• Technical and functional expertise in SAP FS-CD or FI-CA modules
• Experience leading/executing cloud development projects (Java/Kotlin, Kubernetes, cloud platforms)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
