Job description

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and oversee the full spectrum of HR functions. The role requires strong expertise in HR strategic planning, IR/ER (including union management), the Employment Act, and labor law. The ideal candidate will provide strategic HR direction while ensuring operational excellence across all HR areas.

Key Responsibilities :

HR Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Lead workforce and succession planning, talent development, and change management.
  • Monitor HR metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Industrial & Employee Relations (IR/ER)

  • Manage union matters, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Employment Act, Labor Law, and related regulations.
  • Liaise with authorities and legal advisors as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Oversee salary structure, benefits administration, and payroll compliance.
  • Conduct market benchmarking and manage annual reviews.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Drive employer branding and ensure timely hiring aligned with workforce needs.

Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and implement programs to enhance skills and leadership.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Foreign Worker & Expat Management

  • Oversee recruitment, permits, and compliance for foreign workers and expatriates.
  • Coordinate welfare, housing, and onboarding processes.

Security Management

  • Supervise overall security operations and outsourced vendors.
  • Ensure a safe and secure workplace environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business Admin, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience with 3+ years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act, Labor Law, IR/ER, and unionized settings.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Korean is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Workday or SAP HRIS is a plus.
  • Experience in the Manufacturing and/or Semiconductor industry will be an added advantage.
