Job Description
Material Planning (Buyer) Responsibilities:
- Responsible for raw material replenishment, maintaining supply visibility for at least 3 months.
- Secure delivery confirmation from suppliers for all purchase orders (PO).
- Expedite material deliveries to support production and customer orders.
- Manage bottlenecks and allocation for materials in critical shortage.
- Ensure data integrity in SAP and add*ONE systems to enable automatic MRP planning; maintain relevant master data.
- Manage automatic replenishment of materials within warehouses via min-max settings.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance and define improvement measures.
- Manage material phase-in/out due to engineering changes, product lifecycle, etc., and adjust planning accordingly.
- Handle special procurement activities such as Last Time Buy (LTB), below MOQ purchases, and risk purchases during vendor changes or modifications.
- Review supplier capacity regularly and escalate constraints to procurement.
- Manage safety stock levels to support business fluctuations.
- Control raw material inventory according to TCT targets, rescheduling orders based on forecasts.
- Manage excess and obsolete stock, analyze coverage, and optimize inventory.
- Coordinate RTV processes for logistics issues and liaise with PUQ & PQE on technical replacements.
Production Planning Responsibilities:
- Develop rough production plans (RPP) for 24 months ahead.
- Level production loading in line with BPS requirements.
- Convert, release, and schedule production orders based on leveling patterns.
- Maintain data integrity for production orders and RPP to ensure correct MRP runs.
- Align production capacity regularly with manufacturing teams.
- Monitor production output, sub-assembly progress, and customer order fulfillment.
- Drive production to meet targets and optimize SKU and sub-assembly mixes, reducing backlog.
LPV Responsibilities:
- Support NPI projects, including new launches and ALRs.
- Assist with samples and pilot runs.
- Participate actively in project meetings, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Support material ordering and risk management for ramp-up plans.
- Coordinate with project buyers to ensure material readiness.
- Maintain MM and release pronovia timely for automatic MRP planning.
- Manage new material packaging and lot sizes for kanban before SOP.
Supporting Role:
- Support BPS, supplier flexibility, and process/system improvements.
- Contribute to plant, manufacturing, and supply chain flexibility initiatives.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related fields.
- 3-5 years’ experience in material planning, production planning, or procurement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with overseas suppliers (e.g., China).
